Luanda, Jan. 23, 2025 (Lusa) - Angola raised US$31.4 billion (€28.1 billion) in 2024 with the export of 393.4 million barrels of crude oil, sold at an average price of US$79.7, the government said on Thursday.
According to the secretary of state for oil and gas, José Barroso, in 2024 China led the destination for Angolan exports, with 51.91%, followed by India with 10.02%, Spain with 6.27% and Indonesia with 4.81%.
The volume exported represented an increase of 1.80% compared to 2023, while the figure resulting from exports decreased by 0.11%.
As far as natural gas is concerned, last year exports totalled around 4.6 million metric tonnes and the amount collected was approximately US$2.6 billion (€2.3 billion).
José Barroso pointed out that the volume of gas exported in 2024 grew by around 2.3% compared to 2023, with India being the main destination for LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) exports, with around 53% of the total marketed.
