The Athens-Macedonian News Agency (ANA-MPA) will organise the 38th MINDS conference on April 24-25, 2025 in Athens, gathering representatives from 25 of the world's leading media organisations in order to discuss the latest developments in the field of media and innovation, exchange opinions and know-how and present technological applications or business and strategic models.
The conference is expected to focus on the penetration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in our daily lives and by extension into journalism, but also on cyber security and the safety of journalists in general.
The MINDS (Media Innovation Network) organisation includes, among others:
Associated Press and Australian Associated Press, Reuters, Canadian Press, Kyodo (Japan), dpa (Germany), AFP (France), EFE (Spain), ANSA (Italy), APA (Austria), PTI (India) and other news agencies and journalistic organisations from various countries.
It is the first time that such a media conference of glocal scope is organised in Athens. Meanwhile, the annual meeting of the European Alliance of News Agencies (EANA) will also be held in Athens in October 2025, with the President of the Athens-Macedonian News Agency, Aimilios Perdikaris, being elected in the recent Rome Summit as president of European Committee of national news agencies.
