Lisbon, Sept. 30, 2024 (Lusa) - The Lisbon stock market ended Monday's session in the red, with its benchmark index (PSI) losing 0.23% to 6,792.87 points, on a day of sharper falls in the main European markets.
Of the 16 shares that are part of the PSI (Portuguese Stock Index), 10 were down, four were up and two were unchanged.
Jerónimo Martins led the losses with a fall of 2.16% to €17.64 and Galp stood out in terms of gains with a rise of 1.51% to €16.80.
Navigator (0.99% to €3.69), CTT (0.23% to €4.39) and EDP Renováveis (0.19% to €15.71) also rose.
On the other hand, Mota-Engil dropped 1.38% to €2.57, BCP lost 0.81% to €0.41 and EDP fell 0.56% to €4.10.
Corticeira Amorim ( €8.85), Sonae ( €0.95) and Semapa ( €14.44) were among the shares with losses of less than 0.5%.
In relation to the main European stock markets, Paris fell by 2%, Milan by 1.73%, London by 1% and Frankfurt and Madrid by 0.76%.
The Paris and Milan stock markets were pressurised by Stellantis, down 14.74% and 14.72% respectively, after the car manufacturer revised down its financial targets for 2024.
