Lisbon, Oct. 7, 2026 (Lusa) - The Lisbon stock market closed lower on Wednesday, with the PSI index falling by 0.92% to 9,333.76 points, following the downward trend seen across the rest of Europe.
Of the 16 listed companies that make up the benchmark PSI (Portuguese Stock Index), 13 fell and three rose.
Leading the fallers was Altri, which dropped 3.58% to €4.31.
Also of note were Mota-Engil, which fell 3.40% to €4.66, Teixeira Duarte, which slipped 2.81% to €0.45, NOS, which fell by 2.31% to €5.28, BCP, which dropped by 2.19% to €1.16, and CTT, which fell by 2.03% to €5.80.
Other notable fallers included Semapa, which fell by 1.97% to €18.90, Corticeira Amorim, which dropped by 1.61% to €6.71, and EDP Renewables, which fell by 1.20% to €12.40.
Falls of less than 1% were seen in Navigator (€3.06), REN (€3.52), EDP (€4.79) and Jerónimo Martins (€16.86).
Conversely, leading the gains was Sonae SGPS, which rose by 1.48% to €2.06.
Ibersol (€9.95) and Galp (€21.92) posted gains of less than 1%.
Elsewhere in Europe, Madrid fell by 1.68%, Frankfurt by 1.36%, Paris by 1.22% and London by 0.79%.
