Lisbon, Sept. 30, 2026 (Lusa) - The Lisbon stock market managed to close in positive territory on Wednesday, rising slightly by 0.01% to 9,666.79 points, driven by the EDP group and bucking the European trend.
Of the 16 listed companies that make up the benchmark PSI (Portuguese Stock Index), three rose, 11 fell, and Corticeira Amorim and Sonae remained unchanged at €7.10 and €2.11 respectively.
EDP and EDP Renewables were the top gainers, rising by 1.36% to €4.84 and 0.78% to €12.87 respectively, followed by NOS, which gained 0.28% to €5.38.
Leading the fallers, on the other hand, was Ibersol, which fell by 2.08% to €9.91, followed by Mota-Engil, which fell by 1.07% to €5.10, and CTT, which fell by 1.05% to €6.14.
Also closing lower were BCP (down 0.57% to €1.22), Jerónimo Martins (down 0.39% to €17.93), Navigator (down 0.25% to €3.21), Semapa (down 0.25% to €20.35) and Galp (down 0.22% to €22.45).
Also in negative territory were Teixeira Duarte (down 0.20% to €0.50), REN (down 0.14% to €3.56) and Altri (down 0.11% to €4.68).
The main European stock markets closed lower today, with London down 0.29%, Paris 0.89%, Frankfurt 0.79%, Madrid 0.47% and Milan 0.84%.
