Lisbon, Sept. 22, 2026 (Lusa) - The Lisbon stock market closed higher on Tuesday, with the PSI index gaining 0.41% to 9,656.71 points, against a largely positive backdrop across Europe.

Of the 16 companies in the PSI, 10 rose and six fell.

EDP Renováveis led the gains, rising 2.96% to €13.22.

Other notable gainers included Jerónimo Martins, which rose 2.29% to €18.30, and Corticeira Amorim, which gained 1.01% to €7.01.

Rises of less than 1% were seen in Sonae SGPS (€2.12), EDP (€4.86), Mota-Engil (€5.14), Altri (€4.74), Ibersol (€10.04), Galp (€21.84) and Teixeira Duarte (€0.48).

At the other end of the scale, BCP led the fallers, dropping 1.60% to €1.17, followed by NOS, which fell 1.35% to €5.47.

CTT (€6.30), Semapa (€20.90), REN (€3.56) and Navigator (€3.26) all fell by less than 1%.

Elsewhere in Europe, Paris rose by 0.20%, Madrid by 0.15% and Frankfurt by 0.01%, whilst London fell by 0.29%.
