Lisbon, Sept. 17, 2026 (Lusa) - The 2026 National Cycling Mobility Award went to Vilamoura Marina, Bikeland, and António Rapoula in the business category, while the Algarve Tourism Region received the award as a public body, organisers announced on Thursday.

The Portuguese Federation of Cycling and Bicycle Users (FPCUB) is hosting the National Mobility Award ceremony today in the auditorium of EMEL's Espaço Jardim de Inverno, at Quinta das Conchas, in Lisbon.

FPCUB has said that FPCUB president José Manuel Caetano and EMEL president Carlos Silva, Lisbon's parking and mobility company, will attend the awards ceremony.

Established in 2006, the National Cycling Mobility Award aims to publicly recognise the contribution of organisations and individuals who have promoted cycling in its many forms, either by creating or improving conditions and facilities in Portugal and/or by publicising initiatives that encourage the use of this mode of transport.

In the Associations and Clubs category, the award went to the Arraiolos Cycle Tourism Group and the Baronia Sports and Cultural Group.

In addition to the Algarve Tourism Region, Rui Ribeiro Rei, chairman of Transtejo/Soflusa, and Carlos Humberto de Carvalho, chairman of Transportes Metropolitanos de Lisboa, were also honoured in the public body category.
