Lusa - Business News - Portugal: Stock market trading flat with index at 9,402.08 points

Lisbon, Sept. 4, 2026 (Lusa) - The PSI, Portugal's main stock market index, remained virtually unchanged on Friday morning after an hour and a half of trading, recouping its opening losses and rising by 0.01%.

At 9:35 a.m. in Lisbon, the PSI was up 0.01% to 9,402.08 points, with 11 listed companies posting gains, four recording losses and Semapa steady at €20.75.

Jerónimo Martins was the top gainer, rising 0.83% to €18.16, followed by construction firms Teixeira Duarte and Mota-Engil, which rose by 0.72% to €0.49 and 0.71% to €4.81, respectively.

EDP Renewables rose by 0.61% to €13.28, Altri by 0.43% to €4.70 and Ibersol by 0.39% to €10.24.

Also in the green were Corticeira Amorim (up 0.28 per cent to 7.04 euros), Sonae (up 0.25% to €2.02) and Navigator (up 0.25% to 3.25 euros).

REN (up 0.14% to €3.50) and EDP (up 0.02% to €4.63) posted more modest gains.

Conversely, BCP fell by 0.65% to €1.14, and Galp dropped by 0.57% to €20.88.

CTT and NOS were also in the red, falling by 0.23% to €6.57 and 0.16% to €4.95, respectively.

The main European stock markets were trading without a clear direction today, awaiting the release of US unemployment figures whilst talks between Washington and Tehran remain at a standstill.
