Sao Paulo, Brazil, Aug. 10, 2026 (Lusa) - Embraer reported revenue of 11.3 billion reais (€1.9 billion) in the second quarter of 2026, a year-on-year increase of 10%, the Brazilian aircraft manufacturer announced on Monday.
According to the company, the result represents a «new record for the April–June period», highlighting growth of 22% in Defence and Security, 19% in Business Aviation and 11% in Services and Support.
On the other hand, in the Commercial Aviation sector, the company reported a 2% decline compared with the second quarter of 2025, which the press release states reflects «primarily the appreciation of the real against the US dollar».
Adjusted EBITDA (earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation) reached 1.5 billion reais (around €550 million), with a margin of 13.4% compared with the same period last year.
The manufacturer delivered 65 aircraft between April and June, recording a 7% increase compared with the same period last year, which represents «its best performance for this period in the last 16 years».
Embraer delivered 109 aircraft, around 20% more than the 91 delivered in the first half of 2025, according to the company.
The company's firm order book reached $34.5 billion (around €29.9 billion) in the second quarter of 2026, a figure considered a record by Embraer itself, representing an increase of more than 16% over the figure recorded a year ago.
In the Defence and Security sector, according to Embraer, the result achieved is due to «the increased recognition of revenue from the KC-390 Millennium, linked to the customer portfolio and the stage of production».
«The gross margin increased from 19.6% to 20.6% compared with the previous year, whilst the adjusted EBIT margin rose from 9.3% to 12%, driven by operational leverage,» the statement reads.
The Business Aviation division recorded revenue of 3.7 billion reais (roughly €596 million) in the second quarter of 2026, a «19% year-on-year increase due to higher delivery volumes and product mix».
Meanwhile, the Services and Support division achieved quarterly revenue of 2.9 billion reais (around €494 million), an 11% year-on-year increase, underpinned by higher volumes across all segments.
In Commercial Aviation, Embraer recorded revenue of 3.2 billion reais (around €545 million) for the quarter, a year-on-year decrease of 2%.
Also in its second-quarter results, Embraer notes that «the tax credit, the exemption from tariffs and the improved business outlook have led the company to raise its forecasts for the year as a whole».
The outlook for the end of 2026 «is for an adjusted EBIT margin of between 10% and 10.6% (up from the previous range of 8.7% to 9.3%).
According to Embraer, during the second quarter of 2026, there was also growth in adjusted net profit, which reached 1.1 billion reais (€187.3 million), representing a «significant increase in return metrics for investors».
The company, the world's third-largest aircraft manufacturer, recorded a net profit attributable to its controlling shareholders of 1.25 million reais (around €214.3 million) in the first half of the year, representing a 42.6% increase compared with the same period last year.
In terms of investment, the company reported 609.2 million reais (around €110 million) in the second quarter of 2026, up from 576.5 million reais (around €104 million) in the same period of 2025.
Embraer is a manufacturer and world leader in commercial aircraft with up to 150 seats; it has over 100 customers worldwide and operates industrial facilities, offices, service centres and parts distribution centres, amongst other activities, in the Americas, Africa, Asia and Europe.
In Portugal, it is the majority shareholder in OGMA – Indústria Aeronáutica de Portugal, based in Alverca, holding a 65% stake.
