Macau, China, Aug. 5, 2026 (Lusa) - Casino operator Wynn Macau announced on Wednesday operating profits of $162.8 million (€141.1 million) for the second quarter of the year, a 27% increase compared with the same period in 2025.

Between April and June last year, the company's operating profits from its two casinos in Macau – Wynn Macau and Wynn Palace – totalled $128.3 million (€111.1 million), according to a statement from the operator.

In the first half of this year, the operator achieved operating profits of $308.1 million (€267 million), representing a 20.6% year-on-year increase. In the same period of 2025, the figure stood at $255.4 million (€221.3 million).

As regards operating revenue, between April and June this year, Wynn Palace recorded $653.4 million (€566.5 million), an increase of 21.1% year on year. At Wynn Macau, total revenue was $351.1 million (€304.4 million), up 2.1% year-on-year.

«The second-quarter results, including ‘a strong performance in Macau', reflect healthy and sustained demand across the entire business,» said Wynn Resorts' chief executive, Craig Billings, as quoted in the press release.

Billings also emphasised the company's business diversification strategy, with the construction of the Wynn Al Marjan Island project in the United Arab Emirates, scheduled to open in September 2027.

As the gambling capital of the world, Macau is the only place in China where casino gambling is legal.

Six concessionaires operate in the territory: MGM, Galaxy, Venetian, Melco, Wynn and SJM, which renewed their concession agreements in December 2023 for the next 10 years, with the new agreements coming into force on 1 January 2024.
