ALGIERS - The Director General of the Algerian Investment Promotion Agency (AAPI), Omar Rekkache, chaired a coordination meeting on Sunday in Algiers with the three national agencies responsible for economic land management, according to an agency statement.
The meeting brought together the Directors General of the National Industrial Land Agency (ANFI), the National Tourism Land Agency (ANFT), and the National Urban Land Agency (ANFU). Discussions focused on strengthening inter-agency coordination, unifying working methods, and ensuring land availability aligns with investor needs to accelerate project implementation.
To improve economic land governance, participants emphasized the continuous updating of plot data. This will ensure accurate, reliable information on the Investor's Digital Platform, boosting transparency and service quality.
Officials also highlighted the necessity of verifying plot availability on the ground before listing them, preventing the inclusion of lands that cannot be immediately developed.
Key outcomes included an agreement to establish a shared digital platform for real-time data exchange among the agencies. This interconnected system aims to maintain an accurate land portfolio, streamline investment requests, and direct land allocation toward high-value projects that drive job and wealth creation.
AAPI noted that this initiative aligns with its roadmap to enhance investor support following the launch of the dedicated one-stop shop.
The agency also stressed that efforts must now focus on expanding and consolidating the national land portfolio to meet growing demand driven by the country's ongoing investment momentum.
