Lisbon, Aug. 3, 2026 (Lusa) - The Lisbon stock market closed up 0.61% on Monday at 9,171.70 points, in line with the European trend, with Teixeira Duarte rising by 2.35%.
Of the 16 listed companies that make up the benchmark PSI (Portuguese Stock Index) index, 12 rose, three fell and EDP remained unchanged at €4.47.
Teixeira Duarte was the top performer, closing at €0.50, followed by Jerónimo Martins, which rose by 1.50% to €17.62.
BCP (up 1.41% to €1.08) and Corticeira Amorim (up 1.21% to €6.70) both rose by more than 1%.
Also closing higher were Altri (up 0.95% to €4.78), Sonae (up 0.74% to €2.06), NOS (up 0.62% to €4.86) and REN (up 0.58% to €3.48).
Also in positive territory were EDP Renewables (up 0.52% to €13.52), Mota-Engil (up 0.43% to €4.65), Galp (up 0.30% to €19.75) and Ibersol (up 0.10% to €9.62).
Leading the fallers were Semapa, which fell by 1.29% to €19.84, CTT, down 0.97% to €6.10, and Navigator, which lost 0.12% to €3.26.
The main European stock markets closed mostly higher today, with the exception of London, which fell by 0.10%. Paris rose by 1.22%, Frankfurt by 1.45%, Madrid by 1.01% and Milan by 1.34%.
