Lisbon, July 21, 2026 (Lusa) - The Lisbon stock market closed higher on Tuesday, rising by 1.11% to 9,171.67 points, in line with the trend in the major European markets, with CTT up by almost 4%.
Of the 16 listed companies that make up the PSI index, 11 rose, three fell, and REN and Corticeira Amorim remained unchanged at €3.62 and €6.53, respectively.
CTT was the biggest gainer, rising 3.82% to €5.98, followed by BCP, which advanced 3.70% to €1.07, and Galp, which rose 3.21% to €19.92. Mota-Engil climbed 2.21% to €4.62.
Also closing higher, though by less than 1%, were Ibersol (up 0.99% to €9.21), Teixeira Duarte (up 0.72% to €0.49), NOS (up 0.66% to €4.90), Navigator (up 0.63% to €3.18), EDP Renováveis (up 0.57% to €14), Semapa (up 0.24% to €20.7) and EDP (up 0.11% to €4.55).
Conversely, Jerónimo Martins was the biggest faller in today's session, dropping 1.14% to €16.48, followed by Sonae, which fell 0.24% to €2.05, and Altri, down 0.21% to €4.66.
The main European stock markets closed higher today, with London up 0.58%, Paris 0.28%, Frankfurt 0.66%, Madrid 0.90% and Milan 0.81%.
