NNA - President Joseph Aoun received a phone call from United Arab Emirates President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, during which the two leaders discussed the general situation in Lebanon and the region in light of recent developments, particularly the framework agreement between Lebanon and Israel, announced in Washington under U.S. sponsorship.

During the call, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed reaffirmed the UAE’s support for Lebanon and its backing of the positions adopted by President Aoun and the Lebanese government. He also expressed his country’s readiness to assist Lebanon in the political, economic, and social fields, helping it overcome the difficult challenges it is currently facing.

President Aoun thanked Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed for his continued support, expressing appreciation for the UAE’s assistance to Lebanon and its people across various sectors. He also wished the United Arab Emirates continued stability, strength, and prosperity.
