NNA - The Embassy of Ukraine in Lebanon marked Constitution Day of Ukraine by reaffirming that Ukraine’s Constitution remains the foundation of its sovereignty, democracy, and rule of law despite years of war.
In a statement, the embassy said Ukraine’s defense against Russian aggression is also a defense of the constitutional principles of freedom, human dignity, democracy, and the rule of law.
The embassy noted that Ukraine and Lebanon, despite their different histories, share an understanding of the importance of independence, national sovereignty, and state institutions founded on constitutional order.
It also thanked the Lebanese people and international partners for their continued support of Ukraine’s sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity, stressing that respect for international law and the UN Charter is essential to achieving a just and lasting peace.
Concluding its statement, the embassy declared: "The Constitution is one of the lines that no missiles, no occupation, and no attempt to impose a foreign will can erase or abolish."
