TIRANA, June 19 /ATA/ The National Library of Albania took part in the Annual Conference of Directors of National Libraries of Europe (CENL), held this year in Luxembourg. CENL is the network that brings together national libraries across Europe. The conference aimed to strengthen inter-institutional cooperation, encourage innovation and promote the preservation of documentary and cultural heritage.

This conference is considered one of the most important professional forums in the field of libraries, where directors and experts from memory institutions discuss contemporary challenges and developments. They exchange experiences and practices in areas such as digital transformation, long-term preservation of collections, open access to information and the role of libraries in the knowledge society.

This year the National Library of Albania was represented by its director, Majlinda Toçi, and bibliographer Jola Tasellari. The institution’s participation in this international event reflects its commitment to being an active part of Europe’s professional dialogue and to contributing to the development of contemporary policies and practices in the library field. The conference also opened up new opportunities for cooperation with other national libraries across Europe.
