Lusa - Business News - Portugal: Stock market closes with benchmark up 0.76% driven by constructors

Lisbon, June 12, 2026 (Lusa) - The Lisbon stock market closed higher on Friday, with the PSI index rising 0.76% to 9,093.82 points and Teixeira Duarte gaining more than 7%, in line with the rest of Europe.

Of the 16 listed companies that make up the benchmark PSI (Portuguese Stock Index), 12 rose and four fell.

Leading the gains was Teixeira Duarte, which rose by 7.76% to €0.47.

Also notable were Mota-Engil, which gained 5.75% to €4.78, CTT, which rose 4.36% to €5.99, BCP, which increased 3.62% to €0.95, Semapa, which grew 2.57% to €23.95, Ibersol, which rose 2.16% to €10.42, Navigator, which rose 1.54% to €3.55, REN, which rose 1.29% to €3.55, and Altri, which rose 1% to €5.03.

Gains of less than 1% were seen in NOS (€5.40), Sonae SGPS (€1.98) and Jerónimo Martins (€17.76).

Conversely, leading the declines was Galp, which fell 2.77% to €19.12.

EDP Renováveis (€13.63), EDP (€4.47) and Corticeira Amorim (€6.57) all fell by less than 1%.

Elsewhere in Europe, Madrid rose by 2.59%, Paris by 1.83%, Frankfurt by 1.76% and London by 1.63%.
