Lisbon, June 8, 2026 (Lusa) - The Lisbon stock market closed lower on Monday, with the PSI index falling by 0.01% to 8,931.03 points, in line with the prevailing trend across the rest of Europe.
Of the 16 listed companies that make up the benchmark PSI (Portuguese Stock Index), six fell and 10 rose.
Teixeira Duarte led the fallers, dropping 1.44% to €0.41.
Also notable were Mota-Engil, which fell 1.32% to €4.49, and CTT, which fell 1.01% to €5.88.
Jerónimo Martins (€17.57), BCP (€0.92) and EDP Renováveis (€14.01) all fell by less than 1%.
On the upside, leading the gains was Navigator, which rose 1.06% to €3.43, followed by Galp, which climbed 1.04% to €19.46.
Gains of less than 1% were recorded by Corticeira Amorim (€6.51), REN (€3.47), Altri (€4.91), Semapa (€23.20), NOS (€4.97), Sonae SGPS (€1.89), Ibersol (€10.24) and EDP (€4.42).
Elsewhere in Europe, Madrid fell by 0.66%, Frankfurt by 0.58% and Paris by 0.23%, whilst London rose by 0.05%.
