Lisbon, June 2, 2026 (Lusa) - The Lisbon stock market closed lower on Tuesday, with the benchmark PSI index falling by 0.03% to 8,958.45 points, bucking the trend seen across the rest of Europe.
Of the 16 companies listed on the PSI, eight rose, and eight fell.
Teixeira Duarte led the fallers, dropping 3.03% to €0.40.
Also notable were Altri, which fell 1.84% to €4.81, Ibersol, which fell 1.39% to €11.34, and Mota-Engil, which fell 1.26% to €4.55.
REN (€3.48), Jerónimo Martins (€17.74), NOS (€5.14) and Semapa (€22.95) all fell by less than 1%.
Conversely, EDP led the gains, rising 0.92% to €4.37.
Also posting gains of less than 1% were CTT (€6.04), EDP Renováveis (€14.25), Sonae SGPS (€1.86), Galp (€19.01), Corticeira Amorim (€6.42), Navigator (€3.38) and BCP (€0.94).
Elsewhere in Europe, Paris rose by 0.77%, Madrid by 0.48%, Frankfurt by 0.48%, and London by 0.33%.
