Total petroleum product sales amounted to 127,272 tons in March 2026, marking an increase of 18.6% compared to March 2025.
According to a statement from the Statistical Service, an increase was recorded in oil supplies to ships (156.3%) and aircraft (8.6%), as well as in sales of kerosene (149.5%), heating oil (70.9%), asphalt (68.0%), liquefied petroleum gases (50.4%), road diesel (8.0%), and motor gasoline (4.6%), while, on the contrary, a decrease was recorded in sales of heavy and light fuel oil (-65.5% and -48.3%, respectively).
Specifically, regarding sales at gas stations, these increased by 12.5% to 62,528 tons.
The Service also notes that total petroleum product sales in March 2026, compared to February 2026, rose by 13.7%.
Indicatively, fuel supplies to aircraft (16.9%) and ships (9.1%) increased, as did sales of diesel fuel (15.7%) and gasoline (11.2%). Total petroleum product stocks at the end of March 2026 increased by 4.1% compared to the end of the previous month.
During the period January–March 2026, total petroleum product sales rose by 9.8% compared to the same period last year, the statement concludes.
