Lusa - Business News - Portugal: Lisbon stock market recovers, closes higher, tracking Europe

Lisbon, April 14, 2026 (Lusa) – The Lisbon stock market recovered slightly from Monday's losses on Tuesday, closing up 0.03% at 9,362.42 points. This performance aligned with major European markets, with CTT (Post Office) leading the gains.

Of the 16 companies on the PSI (Portuguese Stock Index), 11 rose, and five fell. CTT climbed 1.97% to €6.73, followed by Teixeira Duarte with a 1.86% increase to €0.44 and bank BCP, which gained 1.42% to reach €0.90.

Other gainers included EDP Renováveis (up 0.85% to €14.17), Mota-Engil (up 0.83% to €4.84), and Ibersol (up 0.53% to €11.30). EDP Renováveis (EDPR) shareholders approved a flexible remuneration programme (scrip dividend) totalling €132 million, or €0.13 per share, during Monday's general meeting and backed a proposal to change the group's name.

NOS (up 0.36% to €5.50), Corticeira Amorim (up 0.30% to €6.65), Navigator (up 0.30% to €3.37), Altri (up 0.21% to €4.84), and Semapa (up 0.19% to €21.14) finished in positive territory with more modest gains.

Sonae led the losses, falling 2.16% to €2.00, followed by EDP, which dropped 0.96% to €4.65. REN (down 0.65% to €3.81), Galp (down 0.33% to €19.49), and Semapa (down 0.22% to €22.3) also closed lower.

Major European markets closed higher on Tuesday, with London climbing 0.25%, Paris 1.12%, Frankfurt 1.27%, Madrid 1.46%, and Milan 1.36%.
