Lisbon, Feb. 27, 2026 (Lusa) - The Lisbon stock market closed with slight gains on Friday, with the PSI rising 0.09% to 9,276.09 points, sustained by gains in the energy sector and with BCP falling more than 3%.
Of the 16 listed companies that make up the national benchmark index, six closed in the green, nine in the red, and Sonae SGPS ended unchanged, trading at €2.02, in a session in which the PSI reached a new high since June 2008.
The PSI's performance was mainly supported by three listed companies linked to the energy sector.
EDP rose 2.73% to €4.52, while its subsidiary EDP Renováveis added 1.67% to €13.36, in a week in which both listed companies presented their 2025 results to the market.
REN rose 0.92% to €3.85.
In addition to the EDP group's listed companies, among the ‘heavyweights’ keeping the PSI in the green was Jerónimo Martins, which rose 0.82% to €22.26.
On the other hand, BCP, which prevented more significant gains for the PSI, fell 3.51% to 89 cents.
In the pulp and paper sector, Altri fell 1.43% to €4.83, while Semapa fell 2.06% to €23.75.
Teixeira Duarte also closed with losses of more than 1%, falling 1.17% to 51 cents, as did CTT, which fell 1.11% to €7.13.
In the other main European markets, the session was negative: the IBEX-35 fell 0.73%, the French CAC-40 fell 0.47%, and the German DAX fell 0.02%, while the British FTSE 100 rose 0.70%.
