Lisbon, Feb. 23, 2026 (Lusa) - The Lisbon stock market closed higher on Monday, advancing 1.71% to 9,245.67 points and reaching its highest level since June 2008, with NOS and Mota-Engil recording gains of more than 4%.
Of the 16 companies included in the benchmark PSI (Portuguese Share Index), 14 rose, one fell and Teixeira Duarte remained unchanged at €0.52.
NOS was the company that rose the most, up 4.27% to €5.01, followed by Jerónimo Martins, which advanced 4.15% to €22.10.
Mota-Engil saw an enhancement of 3.35% to €5.25, REN saw an increase of 2.27% to €3.82, and Sonae saw an increase of 2.16% to €1.99.
Galp (1.86% to €18.57), BCP (1.57% to €0.92) and Navigator (1.19% to €3.39) also closed with gains of more than 1%.
Also on the rise were Ibersol (0.89% to €11.3), EDP (0.77% to €4.33), EDP Renováveis (0.46% to €13.20), CTT (0.42% to €7.24), Semapa (0.41% to €24.4) and Altri (0.21% to €4.69).
The only listed company to fall was Corticeira Amorim, down 0.14% to €6.90.
The main European stock markets closed today with an undefined trend. Madrid and Milan rose 0.56% and 0.49%, respectively.
London, Paris and Frankfurt closed down 0.02%, 0.22% and 1.06%.
