Lusa - Business News - Portugal: Stock market dives deeper into red, down 0.78% to 5,757.34 points

Lisbon, March.24,2023 (Lusa) -The Lisbon stock market opened in negative territory on Friday, with the PSI index (Portugal Stock Index) falling 0.78% to 5,757.34 points.
On Thursday, the Lisbon Stock Exchange closed with its main index (PSI) down 0.54% to 5,802.37 points with Jerónimo Martins leading the losses for the second consecutive day.
Of the 16 listed companies that comprise the PSI, eight were down and eight up.
Jerónimo Martins, which presented results on Wednesday evening, fell 4.25% to €19.82.
In the rest of Europe, London fell 0.89%, Madrid 0.44%, Milan 0.16% and Frankfurt 0.04%, but Paris ended the session with a slight rise of 0.11%.
