APS - 24e Sila : priorité aux jeunes auteurs

APS-ALGER-Le 24e Salon international du livre à Alger(SILA), prévu du 30 octobre au 9 novembre,a choisi de mettre à l'honneur les jeunes auteurs et les lauréats des prix littéraires algériens et étrangers, avec une programmation réduite de rencontres.
Selon le programme, quelque 1030 maisons d'édition dont près de 300 algériennes exposant près de 183 000 titres, sont attendues au Palais des expositions des Pins-maritimes à Alger (Safex).
Cette année le public aura rendez-vous avec une rencontre sur l'histoire intitulée "1919: l'Algérie face aux défis de liberté et du siècle", outre des conférences sur la littérature et le théâtre, la poésie melhoun et autre bande dessinée.
Invité d'honneur du Sila 2019, le Sénégal devra être représenté par des auteurs comme Hamidou Sall, Khallil Diallo, Rahmatou Seck Samb, ou encore Abdoulaye Racine Senghor. Une rencontre entre éditeurs algériens et sénégalais est également prévue à la fin du salon.
Créé en 2009, "Esprit Panaf" une espace dédié au Festival culturel panafricain d'Alger de 1969 et devra être l'occasion d'évoquer le Festival mondial des arts nègres de Dakkar (1966). Les organisateurs ont également prévu une journée dédiée aux récentes découvertes archéologiques de Ain Boucherit (Sétif), animée par des archéologues.
Cet espace abritera la seule évocation prévue par le salon en commémoration des 30 ans de la disparition de l'écrivain et dramaturge Kateb Yacine. Le comédien Sid Ahmed Agoumi devra y donner la lecture de textes de l'écrivain.
Pour cette édition le salon n'offrira son estrade qu'à deux auteurs internationaux, le Palestinien Ibrahim Nasrallah et l'Algéro-américaine Elaine Mokhtefi militante et auteur de "Alger, capitale de la révolution", une programmation justifiée par une baisse du budget alloué à la manifestation qui est passé de 60 millions de dinars, en 2018, à de 55 millions cette année, a indiqué le commissaire du Sila, Mohamed Igherb. En 2015, le budget du salon s'établissait à 120 millions de dinars.
Par ailleurs, le concours de la meilleure affiche retenue pour le Sila 2019 a été remporté par Kada Hamidi, qui propose une oeuvre représentant le continent africain, faite de livres ouverts, dans l'esprit du 24e Sila, placé sous le signe "Le livre, un continent".
Pour sa part le directeur du bureau du livre au ministère de la Culture, Djamel Foughali, a indiqué que la commission nationale de lecture avait émis des réserves sur 56 titres à caractère religieux, sur un total de 183 000 ouvrages devant être exposés par les participants étrangers.
