Italy's GDP rose by 0.7% in 2025 with respect to the previous year after growing by 0.3% in the fourth quarter compared to the previous three months, according to preliminary calendar and seasonally adjusted data released by Istat on Friday.
    The figure is higher than the estimated growth of 0.5% for 2025 given in the government's Public Finance Planning Document (PFPD or DPFP in Italian) in October.
