ZAGREB, 8 Jan (Hina) - Young Croatian actress Ema Haznadar stars in the new play titled "Un pas de côté... et l'autre aussi" (A step aside… and the other one too), which premiered on Tuesday at the Théâtre de la Ville - Sarah Bernhardt in Paris.
The play by French writer and director Jean-Michel Ribes, will be performed daily at the prestigious theatre on Place du Châtelet until 24 January.
The music is composed and performed live on stage by the renowned French composer Reinhardt Wagner. Alongside Ema Haznadar, the cast includes Quentin Baillot, Justine Garcia, David Migeot and Marie-Christine Orry.
Lasting approximately 90 minutes, the production is a cabaret piece and its plot is rooted in the Theatre of the Absurd.
Ema Haznadar is the only Croatian actress to have graduated from Europe's oldest drama academy, the French Conservatoire National Supérieur d’Art Dramatique. The National Academy of Dramatic Arts is France's national drama academy and is oldest acting school in continental Europe.
When she was admitted in 2020 to the prestigious Parisian academy, which enrols only 15 male and 15 female students each year, Croatian director Krešimir Dolenčić told the Večernji List daily that this was one of the greatest achievements by a young Croatian pursuing studies abroad.
