ALGIERS, 29 December 2025 (APS) - Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Kamel Baddari said on Monday in Algiers that 80 executive partnerships based on innovative projects were established in 2025, as part of efforts to integrate research institutions into economic initiatives.

Chairing the National Conference of Public Scientific and Technological Institutions at the ministry’s headquarters, Baddari said that "scientific research has become a key lever of the innovative national economy and a driver of wealth and job creation through stronger partnerships with economic sectors," citing the establishment of 80 operational partnerships built around innovative projects to integrate research institutions into economic initiatives.

He also reported "539 scientific research projects in the field of the valorization of research results, an increase of 31% compared with 2024."

On enhancing cooperation with the economic sector, the minister highlighted the establishment of 77 joint research teams covering 676 research programs, along with 134 business incubators that have attracted investments estimated at DZD 2.8 billion.
