ALGIERS - The Director General of Algeria Press Service (APS) news agency, Samir Gaïd, emphasized Tuesday in Algiers the importance of media's role in supporting investment projects and advancing the national economy, noting that the agency seeks to enhance public service in media to meet the national development aspirations and goals.

Speaking at an information day organized by APS and the Algerian Investment Promotion Agency (AAPI), focused on exploring the role of national media in promoting investment and boosting the national economy's appeal, Gaïd said that APS is working to elevate media service to "a sacred institutional duty, raising it to a standard of public service that matches the investment's role as a strategic driver and key player in national economic development."
