Marcell Jacobs said Wednesday that he has shelved talk of the retirement that he had hinted at after his disappointing showing at this year's athletics world championships and is looking to find the motivation to keep competing until the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
"If I find the spark (to keep going), it won't be one year, it will be for three," Jacobs, who won the 100 metres at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics and helped Italy win the 4x100m relay gold at the same games, told Sky television.
"If we start again, the goal is to close the circle and go to Los Angeles in 2028.
But I will have to be in the best possible condition".
