ANSA-ONA deal gives right to use text and video news services

ANSA and ONA, the Omani news agency, have signed a collaboration agreement that provides the partners with the right to use each other's text and video news services for editorial purposes.
The agreement was signed virtually by ONA's Director General and Editor-in-Chief, Ibrahim Saif Alazri, and ANSA's CEO, Stefano De Alessandri.
Also in attendance were Pierluigi D'Elia, the Italian Ambassador to Muscat, and Nazar Aljulanda Majid Al-Said, the Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to Italy.
Italian Ambassador to Muscat Pierluigi D'Elia stated that the agreement "launches a cooperation that will certainly be productive between news agencies of two nations that constantly work for the peace and prosperity of their peoples and to build bridges between cultures and continents, thanks also to their strategic geographical position.

Oman sees Italy and our economic operators as essential partners for the implementation of the economic and social development agenda called 'Vision 2040'.

In this context, ANSA will certainly be able to initiate fruitful collaboration with its Omani counterpart, contributing decisively to mutual understanding, the fight against disinformation, and the development of Italian-Omani relations, particularly in the economic, commercial, and cultural sectors." The Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to Italy, Nazar Aljulanda Majid Al-Said, welcomed the signing of the agreement between the two agencies, saying:"It marks an important step toward enhancing credibility, strengthening cooperation, and ensuring smoother exchange of news, topics, as well as art and culture between our two countries. We are truly pleased to be part of this partnership and look forward to the positive outcomes it will bring." ONA Director General Ibrahim Saif Alazri emphasized that "this cooperation between ONA and ANSA will positively benefit the audiences of both agencies. "The exchange of media expertise will open broader horizons for developing journalistic work and enhancing the quality of news content, serving common interests and strengthening the presence of both agencies in the media landscape" ANSA CEO Stefano De Alessandri expressed his satisfaction with the new agreement, which adds to those signed in recent years to develop relations with agencies in the Gulf countries, saying: "In addition to expanding the availability of news and mutual understanding between Oman and Italy, this new agreement also provides an opportunity to exchange technological best practices and launch training initiatives." photo: De Alessandri (R) and Ambassador D'Elia
