Around 14-4 million foreign tourists are set to have a holiday in Italy this winter, a rise of 21.1% with respect to the 2024-25 season, according to a study by the Demoskopika institute, which ANSA has had a sneak preview of.
    It said those foreign visitors will have 52 million overnight stays in Italy this winter, a rise of 28.8%.
    The study said 29.7 million people will go on holiday in Italy this winter, including domestic tourists, for a total of 93 million overnight stays, increases of 8.2% and 14.3% respectively compared to the same period last year.
    It said direct tourist spending will rise 9.1% to 14.8 billion euros.
