The average APR interest rate Italian banks put on new mortgages was up again in September, rising to 3.71% from 3.67% in August and 3.61 in July, the Bank of Italy said on Tuesday, The central bank said the average APR for consumer credit fell to 10.24% from 10.29% the previous month.
It said the interest rate on loans to non-financial enterprises was 3.38%, down from 3.39 in August.
It said the passive interest on deposits was 0.63%, the same as the previous month.
