Italy's GDP was flat in the third quarter of 2025 with respect to the previous three months, according to a seasonally adjusted preliminary estimate released by Istat on Thursday.
The national statistics agency added that calender-adjusted GDP was up by 0.4% with respect to the third quarter of 2024.
"The quarter on quarter change of GDP was the result of an increase of value added in agriculture, forestry and fishing, a slight decrease in industry and a stationarity in services," Istat said.
"From the demand side, the negative contribution of the domestic component (gross of change in inventories) was substantially compensated by the positive contribution of net exports.
"The carry-over annual GDP growth for 2025 is estimated at 0.5%".
The nation's GDP had contracted by 0.1% in the second quarter after rising by 0.3% in the first three months of the year.
