ALGIERS, 20 October 2025 (APS) - The World Association of Investment Promotion Agencies (WAIPA) emphasized, in its recently published annual report, the active role of the Algerian Investment Promotion Agency (AAPI) at the African level, according to a statement from the Agency released on Monday.
In its annual report, WAIPA noted "AAPI’s outstanding presence within the network of African promotion agencies," according to the statement.
In this regard, it recalled the mini-summit of African investment promotion agencies, organized by AAPI on September 5, on the sidelines of the 4th Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF), which provided a platform for the exchange of expertise and the strengthening of regional cooperation on investment attraction.
The report also covered the visit by WAIPA’s Executive Director, Ismail Ersahin, to AAPI's headquarters in Algiers, on the sidelines of the Islamic Development Bank's (IDB) annual meetings, a move that reflects the strong cooperation between the two institutions and the organization’s interest in Algeria’s experience in developing its investment promotion system, according to the statement.
The same report also stressed AAPI’s participation in major regional and international events, "which reflects its prominent presence and active role in supporting continental economic integration and enhancing Africa’s investment appeal," the statement concluded.
