Expo 2025 Osaka has wrapped up with record achievements for the Italy Pavilion.
A strategic outpost of economic and growth diplomacy, the pavilion has organized a total of 791 events.
They included 210 initiatives of a financial nature, highlighting the central role played by the Italy Pavilion in promoting Made in Italy and the internationalization of Italian companies.
Over the course of six months of work, more than 7,500 representatives of Italian, Japanese and foreign companies were involved in business events.
The figures confirm the strong commitment and success of the Italian mission that has been tasked with pursuing the Italy-Japan Action Plan 2024-2027 The Italy Pavilion also confirmed its role as a privileged space for business events, with over 171 B2B meetings and networking activities, in addition to more than 60 tasting initiatives held at the official restaurant managed by Eataly.
Overall, the Pavilion provided the setting for 1 billion and 766 million euros worth of contracts and investments.
They included Danieli's excellence which recently achieved two important contracts in Japan, for a total value of some 200 million euros.
In addition, Ebara Corporation announced, during the event 'Investing in Veneto', an investment worth 6 million euros to add to its Gambellara site near Vicenza a new industrial warehouse of 8,495 square metres.
NSG Group signed an investment worth 80 million euros to upgrade a high-performance glass furnace at the San Salvo plant near the Abruzzo city of Chieti.
Italy's Dr Automobiles announced it was investing 50 million euros in its production site at Macchia d'Isernia with an industrial plan that includes hiring 300 workers as part of a project to revamp iconic and historic Italian brands, also including the construction of new vehicles for the premium segment.
Italian-Japanese company Procos S.p.A.
announced investments worth 150 million euros and said it was planning to hire up to 700 workers.
The chemical-pharmaceutical company based in Cameri near Novara is specialized in the production of active pharmaceutical ingredients.
During the event 'Invest in Lombardy, NTT Data Italia confirmed that it will expand a data centre in the area of Milan with 128 MW of capacity for an estimated market value of 1 billion and 280 million euros.
Finally, a total of 19 agreements and memoranda of understanding were announced and signed by universities, research centres, chambers of commerce and civil society organizations.
