ALGIERS — Communication Minister Zoheir Bouamam, accompanied by the General Director of the Algeria Press Service (APS) agency, Samir Gaïd, chaired Wednesday the official launch ceremony of APS’s new website.

On this occasion, the minister congratulated agency staff and management for their work in promoting Algeria’s image and ensuring the country’s voice is heard at various events and gatherings.

Bouamama said that the website launch is “a clear sign of the agency’s commitment to the national cybersecurity strategy, which President Tebboune considers a top priority.”

The minister noted that “APS has been and continues to be targeted by cyberattacks,” adding that the new website, developed entirely by APS staff, “mirrors that Algeria has skilled human resources capable of rising to the challenge.”
