HINA - Charity event "Walk for those who cannot - 100 km in 24 hours" to be held in Zagreb

ZAGREB, 26 Sept - A charity event "Walk for those who cannot - 100 km in 24 hours" will be held at Zagreb's Lake Jarun on 26 and 27 September.

The project brings together the community to raise awareness of the challenges faced by children with developmental difficulties and persons with disabilities. A symbolic joint walk promotes inclusion, solidarity and a society of equal opportunities, with the central event -- walking 100 kilometres in 24 hours -- taking place at Jarun on 26 and 27 September 2025.

The walk starts on Friday at 6pm and runs until Saturday at 6pm, with the goal of completing 17 laps around Jarun (100 km) in 24 hours.

The programme will include a running camp, a football match, Nordic walking, children's races over 100 and 200 metres, and educational workshops.

The aim of the project is to raise funds to purchase orthopaedic aids, enabling children with developmental difficulties and persons with disabilities to take part in sport and physical activity. Entry fees for participation are available through the Entrio.hr platform at a symbolic price of €10.

The proceeds will be donated to the Association of Persons with Limb Amputation of the City of Zagreb and Zagreb County for the purchase of orthopaedic aids.

The organisers of this socially responsible initiative are the Women's Executive Business Club, the Association of Persons with Limb Amputation of the City of Zagreb and Zagreb County, and the Gender Equality Committee of the Croatian Paralympic Committee.
