Italy won the gold medal in the men's quadruple sculls event at the 2025 world rowing championships in Shanghai on Thursday.
The team made up of Luca Rambaldi, Andrea Panizza, Giacomo Gentili and Luca Chiumento beat Britain into second place, with Poland taking bronze.
The winning foursome dedicated the triumph to their former teammate Filippo Mondelli, who died of cancer aged 26 in 2021.
