ZAGREB, 31 Aug (Hina) - Croatia Airlines on Saturday took delivery in Zagreb of its sixth new Airbus A220-300 aircraft, with a capacity of 149 seats. The latest jet, registered 9A-CAP, has been named Zadar.

Like the other new aircraft introduced as part of the fleet renewal launched last year, it arrived directly from Airbus’s factory in Mirabel, Canada, the airline said, adding that this marks a continuation of the overhaul of its entire fleet.

This summer, Croatia Airlines is operating six new Airbus A220-300s as part of a fleet of 16 aircraft, which also includes four Airbus A319s, two Airbus A320s and four Dash 8-Q400s.

Another delivery is expected by the end of the year — the first A220-100, with 127 seats.

The fleet renewal project is scheduled for completion in 2027, by which time Croatia Airlines will have 15 new A220s, comprising 13 A220-300s and two A220-100s, the airline said.
