ANSA - Roberto Bolle opens up in book celebrating 50th birthday

La Scala étoile Roberto Bolle opens up about himself in a book out September 2 marking his 50th birthday on March 26 last entitled simply 'Roberto Bolle'.
    Published by Rizzoli, it's a book featuring photographs, reflections, and commentary, chronicling the great dancer through the many worlds he explored: dance, fashion, and television.
    "In March, I turned 50, and the book was born precisely from this important moment in my life," Roberto Bolle explained to ANSA.
    "It's a time to take stock, and certainly also a moment to look back and forward." Bolle's book features dozens of photographs, interspersed with comments about him from around twenty people.
    British filmmaker Trudie Styler talks about him with her husband Sting and there are tributes form many others including comic, actor-director and Life Is Beautiful Oscar winner Roberto Benigni, rocker Vasco Rossi and fashion icons Giorgio Armani and Dolce and Gabbana.
    The book, also coming out in the US in October with Rizzoli International, will be present among the cultural events of OnDance, the great dance festival in Milan (3-7 September) conceived by Bolle and now in its eighth edition.
    As well as La Scala, Bolle also dances regularly as a guest artist with the world's other leading companies, including The Royal Ballet, the Mariinsky Ballet, the Bolshoi Ballet and the Paris Opera Ballet.
    He shows no signs of letting up even after turning 50.
    Bolle regularly appears on Italian TV with specialstitled Bolle and Friends.
