Napoli's Belgium striker Romelu Lukaku picked up an apparently serious thigh injury in the Azzurri's recent friendly with Olimpiacos and surgery may be needed, the Serie A holders said Monday.

    Former Chelsea, Everton, Inter Milan, AC Milan and Roma star Lukaku "suffered a high-grade lesion of the rectus femoris in his left thigh according to instrumental tests he underwent at Pineta Grande Hospital after the injury sustained in the match against Olympiacos on August 14 in Castel di Sangro, at the end of the (summer) training camp," they said.
