ATA - Tourist boats to Sazan-Karaburun, around 9 thousand domestic and foreign tourists in June alone

TIRANA, July 24/ATA/ There are more and more domestic and foreign tourists to Albania’s only national marine park, Sazan-Karaburun.

A boat trip to this park offers tourists the opportunity to spend a different day in the bay of Vlora.

Vlora Port Authority told ATA that, "During June, this park was visited by 8876 domestic and foreign tourists. Even during July, there is a high number of visitors, not only domestic, but also from various countries in Europe and the world".

According to the Port Authority, there are 12 tourist ships that operate in the port of Vlora. They are licensed to carry out these trips.

With a marine extension of about 1.9 km, Sazan-Karaburun marine park is home to natural monuments, Haxhi Ali Cave (the most visited attraction by tourists), the natural and cultural bay of Grama (the furthest southern end of the marine park), and the island of Sazan, the biggest attraction since its opening to the public. For all those who want to spend moments of relaxation in nature and tranquility, the marine park offers, with its shores of St Vasil, St Jani and Devil’ Bay, a unique natural experience. This park is the most important corridor of species such as sea turtles, Mediterranean seals, dolphins, and sharks. /k.s/j.p/p.s./
