Stellantis said that its shareholders approved the appointment of Antonio Filosa as the new CEO of the Italian-French-American auto group at an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) on Friday.
    As well as becoming CEO, Filosa also retains his former role as head of North America and American Brands.
    The group's board had nominated Filosa to the position in May and he took over on June 23.
    The top job had been vacant since Carlos Tavares quit in December.
    Stellantis brands include Jeep, Peugeot, Fiat, Lancia, Maserati, Alfa Romeo and Chrysler.
