Syros has been included in Travel Dreams Magazine's list of dream destinations for 2025. The extensive list is considered one of the most comprehensive in the world, featuring over 200 destinations, travel experiences, and hotels from Europe, America, the Middle East, Africa, Asia, and Australia. The selections are based on a destination's uniqueness and distinctiveness in the current travel season. According to the experts at Travel Dreams Magazine, Syros offers a unique blend of historic picturesque corners, beaches, natural beauty, culinary delights, and dozens of cultural events that preserve timeless traditions while promoting contemporary art.
According to the article, "the island of Syros, with its rich cultural heritage and artistic vibrancy, continues to solidify its position as one of Greece’s most prominent cultural destinations-drawing both domestic and international visitors alike."  
It also notes that in 2025, the Municipality of Syros-Hermoupolis is presenting an "extensive and diverse cultural programme that promises exceptional experiences for all ages and audiences. From May 7th through early November, the island will host more than 50 cultural events, including concerts, theatrical productions, dance performances, and children’s activities, featuring renowned and award-winning artists from across the artistic spectrum."
