Lisbon, July 17, 2025 (Lusa) - The Lisbon stock market closed flat on Thursday, with very modest gains, on a day when its main European counterparts recorded rises of around 1%.

The PSI benchmark index rose 0.02% to 7,695.57 points, with seven stocks in positive territory, six performing less strongly and two, CTT and Navigator. unchanged.

Leading the gains was REN, which rose 1.94% to €3.16, followed by Sonae, which rose 1.75% to €1.28, and Nos, which advanced 1.33% to €3.82.

Also noteworthy were Ibersol, which gained 1.23 % to €9.86, and Mota-Engil, which rose 0.47 % to €4.26.

Jerónimo Martins declined by 0.98 % to €22.28, Galp Energia, which saw a 0.94% drop to €15.88, and the EDP family, with subsidiary EDP Renováveis falling 0.69% to €2.08 and the parent company losing 0.47% to €3.80.

In Europe, the day saw gains of over 1% in the main markets, with the European Stoxx 50 index rising 1.49%.

The Frankfurt stock exchange rose 1.51%, Paris advanced 1.29% and Madrid gained 0.78%.
