ZAGREB, 14 July (Hina) - From 3 to 5 October this year, Croatia will host the final round of the European Rally Championship calendar, the ERC Croatia Rally, once again placing the country on the map of significant international motorsport events.
The ERC Croatia Rally can be seen as a natural continuation of the organisation of the WRC Croatia Rally, a race from the World Rally Championship calendar that has had four successful editions since 2021. After a break this year, the WRC Croatia Rally is expected to return to the calendar in April 2026, with confirmation also for hosting in 2027.
Croatia has also hosted the European Rally Championship, which returns to Croatian roads after more than a decade. The prestigious competition was first held in Croatia in 2007, and until 2013, it had seven editions, with bases in Zagreb (2007–2009), Rijeka (2010–2012), and Poreč (2013).
"We are delighted that Croatia will once again host the best drivers of today, this time through the season finale of the European Rally Championship. We are grateful to everyone who supports this project – from institutions, partners, and sponsors to our numerous volunteers. The ERC Croatia Rally is an excellent opportunity to strengthen the postseason, which, as proven by official studies, directly contributes to the Croatian economy and the country's image," said Daniel Šaškin, the President of the Organising Committee of the Croatia Rally, in an official statement this past week.
