ATA - Art, tradition, and Albanian typical products showcased in Geneva

TIRANA, July 10 /ATA/ – Albania is showcasing its art, traditions and typical products at the World Intellectual Property Organization

(WIPO) in Geneva, Switzerland, with an opening ceremony on Thursday.

 

Over 600 delegates from around the world are expected to attend Albania’s first official event at WIPO, showcasing the authentic treasures of its cultural heritage to the international public.

 

The event features products protected as geographical indications, traditional costumes from various regions of the country, and delicate filigree works, symbolizing Albanian craftsmanship.

 

The Albanian evening includes traditional songs, dances, and tastings of typical Albanian products. The artistic program includes traditional dances and music from Albanian regions, along with a special presentation on geographical indications and traditional cultural expressions.

 

The event coincides with the opening of the WIPO General Assembly and is part of Albania’s efforts to promote its cultural heritage and intellectual property rights on an international stage.

 

This initiative is part of a broader effort to raise awareness about Albania’s cultural heritage and its potential in the field of intellectual property. The presentation of traditional crafts and promotional materials aims to highlight the value of Albanian products and traditions, contributing to national identity and potentially increasing their international recognition.
