Premier Giorgia Meloni on Monday visited ANSA head offices in Rome in their 80th anniversary year and complimented Italy's premier news agency for providing 80 years of authoritative journalism.
    "I came to testify to the respect for a very authoritative piece of history of Italian journalism but also the respect I have, even as a journalist, for your way of doing journalism, even in a changing world, in which it is increasingly difficult to be fast while maintaining seriousness, trying to verify the news.

Because I know how difficult it can be", she said.
    "I discovered," Meloni smiled, "that ANSA was born on the same day (January 15) that I was born, a few years later".
