HINA - Traditional National Folk Costume Show to take place from 30 June to 6 July

ZAGREB, 25 June (Hina) - The 12th Traditional National Folk Costume Show and Contest for the Most Beautiful Croatian Woman in a National Folk Costume Outside Croatia will be held in the Croatian coastal city of Biograd na Moru and Tomislavgrad, southwestern Bosnia and Herzegovina,  from 30 June to 6 July.

As many as 15 young women will participate in the programme this year, with the aim of bringing together Croats from all over the world to promote their shared traditional culture.

The participants come from various Croatian emigrant communities, including Argentina, Bolivia, Romania, Germany, and Norway.

This year's programme begins in Biograd na Moru, where, on 2 July, a fashion show featuring the national costumes of the representatives of Croatian expat communities will take place at the Summer Stage. The programme will then continue in Tomislavgrad, where, on 5 July, a fashion show and the contest for the most beautiful Croatian woman in a national folk costume outside Croatia will be held.

The event is organised by the Association for the Preservation and Promotion of Croatian Traditional Culture in Bosnia and Herzegovina "Stećak" and the Croatian Heritage Foundation (HMI), in cooperation with the City of Tomislavgrad, KIC Tomislavgrad, and Biograd na Moru.

The event is held under the auspices of Dragan Čović, President of the Croatian National Assembly, the Central State Office for Croats Abroad, the Government of the Herzeg-Bosna Canton, the City of Biograd na Moru, and the Municipality of Tomislavgrad, as announced by the Croatian Heritage Foundation on Tuesday.
